You can get to Niamey, Niger through Diori Hamani International Airport (IATA: NIM). For its international flights, you can avail Air France, Royal Air Maroc, Turkish Airlines and Ethiopian Airlines. Other African airlines also fly in and out of the city.
Domestic fligths are also available serving Agadez, Maradi, Tahoua and Zinder. Other domestic flights are also operating but could be very costly due to less demand.
If you are arriving at the airport, it would be more comfortable to take a Taxi to your hotel’s doorstep.
Bush Taxi. Outside the airport, you can get a bush taxi (van) which is available most of the time. There is a fix rate and you can get off at the Grand Marche where you can get a white taxi to any place in town

The Centre Culturel Oumarou Gand is a cultural center that can accommodate 5 thousand spectators in its amphitheater. It also houses a bar and a large library.

Watching Giraffes. This is usually a guided tour that will bring you to a herd of giraffe just less than an hour from Niamey.
Boubon Pottery. This is about 25 kilometers from Niamey. It is a city known for its pottery.
W National Park is a UNESCO World Heritage Site park in the Niger River.

Geography and Climate
The metropolitan area is on the top of two plateaus with an altitude of over 200 meters. The climate is classified as hot semi-arid with rainfall from May to early September. Basically, Niamey is considered hot throughout the year.
On average, Niamey’s temperature reaches 38 degrees Centigrade or down to 32 degrees Centigrade at some months. From November to February, nights could be cooler with lows from 14 to 18 degrees Centigrade.
