Southern Cebu Travel
Just last month, I went home to see my family. Of course, visiting them was not the sole purpose of my travel back home.
It was also and always at the back of my mind that I should visit places in Cebu Province that I've never set foot before - especially those popular sites and resorts and travellers and locals have been talking or writing about. I've to many places in the province but I'd say that it's not even half of the places that I wish I can cover. I can only wish I have all the time in the world to see them and experience their splendour.
This time, I have decided to see the southern side of the island province since I haven't been to any of the municipalities in that part of the province. I chose to stay in the southern tip on the island which is known not only for white beaches but also for its natural and eco-tourism sites. I was staying in a nice resort in a municipality called Boljoon. Club Fort Med resort served as my base during my travel in the area, and it was a right choice since I could easily take public vehicles that traverse along the main road in that part of the province.
My stay at that resort property was fantastic. It was quite. I had a very comfortable and very spacious room which was facing the ocean and I had the best sunrise every morning. The swimming pool (there are two of them) were just perfect, and the food was just my favourite dishes - they even serve delicious pizzas and I did not miss to order one time for my solo dinner.
So, without further adieu, let me tell you where I've been in those days and include photos which I personally took.
Club Fort Med Beach Resort
This is where I stayed and enjoyed the serene environment, its swimming pool, surroundings - sea, forest, mountain, etc, food and my room.
Sumilon Island and Resort
My visit to this beautiful island and resort was a package deal which included a sumptuous lunch, access to the swimming pool, canoe, the beach areas and hiking.
Whale Shark Swimming
When I thought of doing this activity, I was a bit hesitant due to illogical fear. I think it was a normal feeling since whale sharks are huge and they are called 'sharks'! Anyhow, I did it and it turned out that it was one of my best experiences in the whole trip.
The falls was located around 45 minutes from where I stayed. And indeed, the place was great and amazing since it was a natural beauty. The best one is in the fifth level which can be reached by climbing up and beyond the smaller falls.
This was my last destination - beaches in Liloan in the municipality of Santander. I have seen the beaches and visited resorts asking if i could take photos of their facilities and all.
Thanks and hope you'll keep checking up my blog from time to time.
